Franchise Financing Support
From single-unit first-time franchisees to multi-unit operators — prepared around the brand's own numbers.
The short answer
Franchise financing is commonly pursued through SBA 7(a) loans, equipment financing and conventional lending, and requires a franchise-specific package: the Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor's approval, a business plan built around the brand's model, projections grounded in Item 19 or comparable data, and a documented equity injection. OCS prepares that package and guides franchisees through the process.

FDD-driven projections
Projections should reflect the franchisor's disclosed performance data and your market, not generic assumptions.
Total project cost
Franchise fee, build-out, equipment, opening inventory and working capital all belong in the request.
First-time franchisees
New operators need the experience narrative and training plan presented clearly.
Multi-unit growth
Area development and additional units require their own financial modeling.
What a franchise financing package includes
- Franchise Disclosure Document and signed or draft franchise agreement
- Business plan built around the brand's operating model
- Three-year projections referencing Item 19 data where available
- Complete project budget: franchise fee, build-out, equipment, inventory, working capital
- Site information or letter of intent for the location
- Personal financial statement, résumé and credit profile
Why franchise requests still get declined
Brand strength alone does not carry a submission. Common failure points are projections that ignore the franchisor's own disclosed ranges, budgets that omit working capital for the ramp-up period, and an equity injection that is not clearly documented.
Preparing around those issues before submission is the practical value of an advisory engagement.
Financing channels for franchises
- SBA 7(a) loans, widely used for franchise unit financing
- SBA 504 where real estate or long-life equipment is involved
- Equipment financing for kitchen, production or fleet assets
- Conventional bank financing for established multi-unit operators
Working with your franchisor
Many franchisors maintain lender relationships or preferred financing programs. We work alongside those resources rather than against them, ensuring the documentation you submit is consistent with what the brand expects.
